AK1 not seeing device in Sound Recording unless another device in audio jack.

I am using an AcePC AK1 as a Windows 10 Pro PC for a ham radio application.

I have a Yaesu HRI-200 interface box plugged into the AK1 via USB. That USB connection carries receive and transmit audio from the PC to the HRI. The HRI has drivers for Windows 10. They install fine.
