Re: Unable to get the AD08 to wake at a fixed time from S5 state

Apologies for the slow response. I visit here very infrequently.

S5 is simply the normal shutdown state. So, when you select the option to shut the system down in Windows, that is S5. So, as noted, the BIOS option actually references S5. However, in order for this to work, you cannot perform a ...

Re: Activate Secure Boot

I guess that this procedure only applies to select models. Many of your Mini PCs report to Windows that they are Secure Boot capable but there is no option in the BIOS to enable Secure Boot.

Unable to get the AD08 to wake at a fixed time from S5 state

I have several AceMaagic / Ace Magician / Kamrui systems. On all the systems that I tested this evening, waking at a set time from the S5 state (power off) works just fine EXCEPT for the AD08.

In the BIOS, I set the option to wake at a fixed time but this does not work when the system is in S5 ...

Re: Any good laptop case?

What you get for a case is such a personalized preference, that I typically hesitate making such suggestions. There are simply too many factors to take into account including:

Do you want a slim case such as a sleeve that will carry only the laptop with no accessories or do you need room for the ...

Re: NvmE 2To Crucial not recognized

In the videos posted here (https://minipcunion.com/viewtopic.php?t=4970), it looks like one M.2 port supports NVMe and the other only supports SATA. If you're trying to add the NVMe drive to the SATA port, that would explain why it's not recognized. Did you try it in both ports?

Re: Quick overview (with info to be aware of) for AM16 (5700U)

Thanks for the insights!

Some of the more recent systems come with Windows 11 home preinstalled. This has been discussed in a few other topics aswell and seems to just be a cost savings thing. It should also be mentioned on the sellers page whether it is the home or pro edition of Windows.

Where is this sold? I can't find it on Amazon in the US, unless I'm looking for the wrong thing.
Gabe, it is available here:

It bears the brand name of "AOC". Maybe that is why you were not able to find it?

Quick overview (with info to be aware of) for AM16 (5700U)

Amazon delivered my AM16 at 4:30 this morning and I've been experimenting with it and familiarizing myself with it ever since.

I do really like the fact that it can accommodate 3 storage devices:

There is the included NVMe.
There is a second M.2 slot, but be aware that this slot requires a SATA ...

Re: Wake On Lan Option in Bios

I have this same system. I can confirm that there is no BIOS setting, it is simply enabled at all times. Just do the usual things like enable WOL in Windows, turn off fast startup, etc. If you need detailed step-by-step instructions, just say so and I will get those to you.

Re: BIOS AD15

Windows 11 DOES NOT require that Secure Boot be enabled. It requires a Secure Boot capable machine, it does NOT actually require it to be enabled. The AD15 meets that requirement. It appears to Windows as a Secure Boot capable machine even though there is no actual way to enable it in the BIOS.
