Yes. I'm sure. No PC, including the T5, recharges a CMOS battery.
It's likely a battery that's intended for devices that can recharge or keep a charge on a button cell battery. That doesn't mean you can't use it in the T5 like any other 3V button cell battery of the correct size, but it won't be ...

No. CMOS batteries are not recharged. Once they're too weak to keep the BIOS settings they have to be replaced.

I have a T5 and I had a problem with the option to automatically turn on the device after a power outage.
The device always changed the option in the BIOS.
Although the clock kept the correct time, I suspected it was the battery. I replaced the battery and it started working normally again ...
