Fan is rattling

Post by babsi »

Hi!

I have owned the NiPoGi E3B with Ryzen 7430u for 2 days. Unfortunately the fan is rattling a bit, it's very annoying. I wanted to see what was going on, maybe it's touching a cable or something else. But I can't get to the fan and I need help with that, please.

At first I thought I could screw my way through from the bottom, like you can change the RAM and SSD. However, there are only three screws there, these are for Bluetooth and two for the SSD.

Then I found this picture on Amazon:

The cover above the fan looks like it's just plugged in. I pulled lightly, but I can't get it off and I don't want to damage anything. Please give me a tip on how I can expose the fan. The fan always rattles when the PC is under load and you can hear the fan, but also in idle when the CPU temperature is only a little over 40 degrees and you wouldn't otherwise hear the fan, the rattling is always there.

Thanks in advance

Hello!
A brief summary for anyone interested: After contacting Barry, I received a message from Alice from support. I was able to send the defective device to them, and I received a replacement very quickly. This one had the same problem with the rattling fan—or it was the same device—I don't know. I was able to send it in again, and yesterday I received the same model again, and now everything's fine. The PC is running as it should, with no rattling or grinding.

Alice addressed my concerns immediately, didn't keep me waiting long for a response, and when I didn't respond, Alice followed up on it as well—great support, in other words
