Does the USB flash drive need to be "safely ejected"? Microsoft gave the correct answer

Post by admin »

After we used up the USB flash drive, there was a question: should you pull it out directly or eject it safely?
This has to start with the origin of "safe eject." When using the windows system earlier, Microsoft directly turned on the cache setting to make the read and write speed of the external mobile device faster. The data is directly written to the cache, and the cache enters the storage. If the external device is unplugged when data is written into the cache and the cache is transferred to storage, it is conceivable that the data will definitely not be written in; it will even cause the computer to face the resource manager crash and restart, data loss, and unrecognized The condition of the equipment is why the "safe ejection" was born.
And to ensure that the U disk can have a better transmission speed, the system will default the U disk as the best performance so that the U disk is always in working condition. So when you choose "Safe Eject," it means that the USB flash drive has finished all the work, and there is a reminder for the USB flash drive, and finally pulling it out will not cause the file to be lost or damaged.
Because most users will directly pull out the USB flash drive, bypassing the trouble of "safe ejecting" every time, and realizing the needs of users, Microsoft has also made a new change: directly change the operating mode of the USB flash drive to "fast" delete."
Since the win10 version 1809, the U disk can be pulled out directly, no need to click "safe eject." Of course, ensure that the U disk is not working before unplugging. Otherwise, the transmission will be interrupted, and the file storage will fail.
You can set it manually by yourself.

1. Open the properties window of this computer and select Device Manager to enter.

Next time you use the USB flash drive and other external devices, you can unplug it directly.
