We have reported this problem to the factory and will fix the misunderstanding caused by the model.

Are you sure that the system board you pictured is the current system board in the J4125 based AK3V, because that is not what I have in mine.

There is no confusing an mSATA slot with an m.2 slot. They are quite different. If carlesm was able to install an NVMe drive, he has the same board as i, and NOT a board with an mSATA drive, because an NVMe drive cannot physically be installed in an mSATA slot.

So, both carlesm and I have an AK3V with the board in my picture, which has an m.2 NVMe slot, NOT an mSATA slot.

The picture below is from my J4125 based AK3V system board. It is m.2 NVMe, NOT mSATA. Note the m.2 mounting screw. Note the key slot placement. It's m.2, NOT mSATA. My AK3V was purchased from Amazon in August 2020, three months ago. It is the J4125 based AK3V, NOT the N3350 based model or the J3455 based model. This discussion is concerning the newer J4125 based AK3V.

I can confirm Gabe answer - J4125 based AK3V has M.2 socket with M key.
The mainboard for J4125 based AK3V in my case are marked as GK1_V2.2 (2019.08.30)

Regarding NVME SSD test - i'm still waiting for my NVME SSD - 2242 it not popular SSD size for NVME - I ordered it on Aliexpress and it will take some time to deliver it to my country.

Great news!

With as much faster as the 2.5" SATA SSD made my AK3, I can only imagine how much better it would be with an NVMe SSD. 🙂

takezo,

ACEPC cannot provide Linux based drivers. As suggested to your other post, you may be able to find what you need by searching Linux discussion boards.

How's it going with the NVMe SSD? Still running well?

Over the last few days I've been thinking about doing the same. Amazon has a decent 256GB drive for under $50. That's not bad considering the odd size. I'm not familiar with the brand (KingSpec), but it has decent reviews.

I was using a 2.5" SATA SSD (250GB), but I ended up having to use that for something else.
